  • Must possess quick and accurate Alpha/numeric data entry ability.
  • Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and Web-enabled applications.
  • Ability to research information via the internet, as well as through knowledge documents, and industry manuals.
  • Must be able to understand the requirements of the type of billing required for the position: Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, or Private Insurance.
  • Executed daily operations of Payroll Corrections via reports
    Posted data to payroll records.
  • Compiled payroll data, entered data and computed and posted wages.
  • Emailed Resolution Forms when payroll information was incorrect, missing or not accurate.
  • Reviewed wages computed and corrected errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
  • Correspond with branches via Email Notifications or Phone Calls to verify payroll is accurate & complete.
  • Prepared and issued paychecks as follows:
  • Processed Replacement Check Request Forms, reverse, voided & confirm check and issue a new check number for Associate using Peoplesoft.
  • Processed Emergency Advance Check Request Forms entered time card and generated a check for Associate using Peoplesoft.

Required Skills

  • Certification in Medical Billing or Medical Coding.
  • Program included training in all areas with multiple insurance companies including Medicaid, Medicare, BCBS, and HMOs.
  • Studied both HCFA-1500 and UB-92 forms.
  • Know ICD9-CM and CPT Codes.
  • MestaMed experience.
  • Able to comprehend moderate instructions and short correspondence.
  • Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations, and written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach with hands and arms for infrequent periods
  • Must have clear vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
  • Must have the ability to identify and distinguish colors and adjust the eye to bring an object into focus.
  • This position requires employee to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels from talking, phones ringing, computers and printers.
  • This position requires employee to frequently work in a fluid, fast paced environment.

Required Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in HME/Medical billing environment and/or acounts receivable.
  • High School diploma.
