QA Engineer

As QA Engineer you will be joining one of our Scrum teams. You will work closely with people who will encourage and inspire you to continuously improve.
General Responsibilities: -Perform a number of different tasks in parallel based on existing experience. Has to coordinate with other team members to structure work. Has advanced technical knowledge in specific key areas. -Self-directed in task execution; makes effective use of their own time without guidance. Able to identify ownership and boundaries and asks for help when in trouble.
-Ability to employ communication to collaborate within their immediate team. Communication enables knowledge sharing and facilitates teamwork.
-Regularly influences immediate colleague on technical subjects -Aware of the business and industry context of their role
-Has immediate interaction with members of the organization with reduced supervision -Being part of the agile team and collaborating with the product owner and software developers. -Proactive communication with the team to identify requirements and ensure all defects are raised and resolved. Technical Responsibilities: -Generating and executing test plans, test cases, documentation, and reports -Working closely with design, engineering, and product management teams in order to meet project goals -Testing of web applications and reporting issues using bug tracking tools -Ensuring that all external and internal requirements are met before the product reaches our customers -Addressing and discussing issues and proposed solutions with superiors -Interpreting and implementing quality assurance standards and procedures -Assuring the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output -Focusing on deadlines while multi-tasking in a highly dynamic work environment -Perform testing on API / Web Services. -Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating testing activities. -Designing and performing functional and non-functional tests such as performance, stress tests. -Participating in all stages of the software development life cycle. We look for a combination of: -3+ years of relevant experience -Experience and knowledge of testing methodologies (load, stress, acceptance, regression, black box/white box, performance, smoke) -Understanding the life cycle of the software and all phases of the QA process -Familiar with Quality assistance model and Agile methodology of work -Experience of API / Web Service testing -Familiarity with the tools like Fiddler, Postman or SoapUI, Runscope or similar -Experience on automated API testing tools would be appreciated -Writing performance tests is a plus -Familiar with some of the existing tools for issue tracking and team collaboration (Jira, Confluence) -Familiar with test management tools: Test Rails, TestLodge
