UI/UX Designer

Lucee QA 01, a pioneering company in the Biotechnology industry, is seeking a talented and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our Info Systems department on a full-time, regular basis. As a UI/UX Designer at Lucee QA 01, you will be at the heart of shaping user experiences for our innovative biotech solutions, ensuring they are intuitive, engaging, and empowering for our users. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to create user-centric designs for a variety of digital products. You will be responsible for the entire design process, from understanding user needs and creating wireframes to designing high-fidelity interfaces and prototyping. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of excellence and leadership in the biotech field, and you will play a key role in driving results through thoughtful design. This position does not require travel and is compensated annually between $70,000.00 and $80,000.00, reflecting the mid-career level of the role. Required Skills

• Proficiency in design software such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
• Ability to create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows
• Experience in designing for various platforms (web, mobile, tablet)
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
• Ability to present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders
• Experience with user research and usability testing
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to challenges
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
• Understanding of the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies

Required Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in UI/UX design
• A portfolio showcasing a strong track record in user interface design and user experience enhancements
• Experience working in the biotechnology industry or a related field is highly desirable
• Proven experience working in a collaborative team and directly with developers for implementation of designs
• Demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) design
• Prior experience in a mid-career level design role, with a history of impactful design solutions
• A history of continuous learning and staying updated on the latest industry trends and tools
• Experience in conducting user research and evaluating user feedback
• Previous involvement in projects that demonstrate a commitment to DEIB
• A Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or a related field
